Pre-Shoot Checklist
Preparing Your Home for Photos & Video
At New Venture Media, our goal is to create high-quality marketing media that helps your listing make an incredible first impression online. In today’s market, most buyers see a home online before they ever step foot inside, so how a home looks in photos and video matters more than ever.

To help us deliver the best possible results, we’ve created this Pre-Shoot Checklist for homeowners and real estate agents. Proper preparation allows our team to spend more time behind the camera capturing the home and less time moving items or cleaning, which directly impacts the quality of the final media.

A prepared home makes a huge difference in how the final photos and video turn out. This is in your best interest.

Please review and complete the checklist prior to our arrival. While not every item will apply to every home, the details matter. Many of the small things are easy to overlook but can make a big difference on camera.

We want the appointment to go smoothly for everyone involved. In general, clean, decluttered, and staged homes not only photograph better, but they also tend to sell faster because buyers can focus on the home itself rather than personal items or clutter.

Important:
Please do not schedule cleaners, stagers, landscapers, or other vendors on the same day as the photo shoot. These items should be completed the day before so the home is completely ready when we arrive.

Pro Tip:
Store excess clutter and personal items in closets, storage rooms, or the garage if needed. We typically do not photograph those areas, so they can be used as temporary storage during the shoot.

We take pride in delivering premium-quality media, and proper preparation helps us showcase the home at its absolute best.
